Dr. Basich previously served as a teacher and assistant principal at Riverside High School and as principal of LaMuth Middle School. He is a part-time faculty member at both Lake Erie College and Youngstown State University.

He brings a deep commitment to hands-on, meaningful learning experiences that empower students
and support professional growth for educators. He leads with a collaborative spirit, embraces innovative practices, and remains focused on achieving positive outcomes for all learners.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Basich enjoys playing guitar, staying active, reading, and spending quality time with his wife and daughter.

It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to continue to serve the Perry students, faculty, and community in a new and expanded role as an administrator for our 5th through 8th grades.  I am excited to continue to learn, grow, and lead while leaning on my previous diverse experiences out of state as well as working in some of the highest performing districts of Ohio.  It is my goal to positively impact the community by helping to maximize all students and educators in the building.  These unique formative years are filled with growth and learning academically as well as socially. We will work to foster an environment that helps lead, challenge, and support our students throughout this journey and equips them with the skills needed to find success in whatever avenue they choose.  Thank you for the chance to work with Perry's youth and continue to build a school we will all be proud of!
